PFM’s race to the championship 2006 – It’s all about the picture, man.

After driving the PFM Racing’s RX-7 at Gateway International Raceway and then again at the American Road Race of Champions Jim Stevens loved it so much that he purchased it. At Gateway in October 2005 Jim drove the car to within a few tenths of the lap record. He then finished just outside the top ten at the ultra competitive American Road Race of Champions IT7 race at Road Atlanta. In the off season, the PFM Racing RX-7 got a good polish, new graphics, a new number and then a top shelf TUXEDO PARK RACING motor. Jim’s goals this year in the RX-7 are to win Mid-Div IT7 Championship and to capture the track record at all of the Midwest Division tracks. Jim also intends on attending the American Road Race of Champions again in November 2006. Jim’s 200? Amercian Sedan Pontiac Firebird is getting the full off season massage treatment from Tuxedo Park Racing and Jim will campaign it this year just as he always does. He intends on participating in the SCCA Runoffs in October at Heartland Park in Topeka, KS.

As Jim is pursuing IT7 and American Sedan Championship’s this season Jude is pursuing a ITA Midwest Division Championship in the PFM Racing 240SX. Over the winter the car is getting a fuel cell and fire suppression system so that Jude can also compete it E Production with the goal of getting an invitation to the SCCA National Runoffs. He also intends on attending the American Road Race of Champions.

In other forms of racing, Jim and Tess will be participating in a few Club Rally events this year in the newest vehicle to support a PFM Racing roll cage. Jude and Jim decided to build a rally vehicle to participate in the 100 Acre Wood about 4 weeks before the event and successfully obtained, stripped, built and finessed a 1986 Jeep Comanche. Tess will be the navigator while Jim drives. The Jeep will compete in Group 2 and should do quite well. The Jeep will also be run in SCCA road races in either ITE or ITT (truck) at the American Road Race of Champions.

   Jim also has a Sportsman dirt track car that will be run any weekend that is not occupied by other forms of racing. This car competes at local dirt tracks in and around the St. Louis area.

   The newest idea that Jude and Jim have come up with is to go School Bus racing in Kentucky. We will see if Jim can find a bus to become a donor!

   This will be an exciting year so stay posted for updates as we intend to post a diary of each race event of the year.

Jennifer, Jude & Jim cordially invite you to participate with us in the final event of the Jeep juggernaut. As you may know, the Rally Jeep (now called the M-PRV, Multi-Purpose Race Vehicle) has successfully competed in five different types of SCCA events: Performance Rally, Road Race, Rally-Cross, PDX and Solo 2. The only remaining event is a Road Rally. Upon completion of the Road Rally, the M-PRV will sail into the record books as the only vehicle in SCCA history to compete in every type of event the Club offers.

The "Into the Sunset" night Rally will take place on Saturday, June 24th. Registration will be at 6pm, first car off at 7pm. The course will begin in St. Charles, will be approximately 50 miles in length and ends up at "Dave & Buster's" in Earth City. More info on the event can be found by clicking here.

Pre-registering will be helpful to Larry Kronemeyer, the Rally Master.

We will also be taking donations for JDRF. For a minimum $10 donation, you can sign your name on the hood of the M-PRV, showing your support of JDRF.
